We arrived in Croatia in September, and I must admit that the weather was exceptionally kind to us. The sun was blazing, and the air temperature was high, making it perfect for spending days on the beach. The Adriatic Sea was also incredibly pleasant, providing excellent conditions for swimming and various water activities.
Thanks to such favorable conditions, we were able to fully enjoy the charms of the Croatian coast. Every day was filled with sunshine, and the blue waters invited us to relax and have fun. Walking along the beach, we could admire the picturesque landscapes, and in the evenings, we immersed ourselves in the atmosphere of local taverns and restaurants. Croatia at this time of year is a true paradise for sun lovers and sea enthusiasts!
Our vacation primarily focused on the charming town of Zarad, where we spent eight unforgettable days. We rented an apartment in a beautiful location that turned out to be a true gem. Its central position allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere. Zarad captivated us with its old town, brimming with history and culture. Strolling through the narrow streets, we admired the picturesque houses and traditional architecture, which created a unique ambiance.
Zarad is a place that enchants with its tranquility and authenticity. Every corner holds fascinating stories, and the local residents are incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. In the evenings, we enjoyed discovering small cafes and restaurants where we could sample regional specialties such as fresh seafood and aromatic wines. Each day in Zarad was not just a time for relaxation, but also a fascinating journey into Croatian culture and traditions.
In the evening, the town gained extraordinary charm. As everyone went out for dinner, the streets came alive. The pleasant atmosphere, delicious Croatian food, and grapevines cascading from balconies created an incredible ambiance. Croatia is also renowned for its beautiful sunsets, which became even more enchanting against the backdrop of the blue water.
However, the highlight of each evening was the concert of the sea organ in the old town. This extraordinary device, which utilizes water to create beautiful sound waves, gave the evenings a magical character. With the setting sun, it provided us with unforgettable experiences.
During our stay, we also had the opportunity to discover the beauty of Croatia’s islands, with views that took our breath away. The city water taxi turned out to be an excellent means of transport to the islands, offering us not only stunning vistas but also unforgettable experiences.
The journey by water taxi was a true adventure, allowing us to admire the picturesque landscapes of the Adriatic. On each island we visited, we discovered something new—from hidden beaches and crystal-clear waters to charming villages with narrow streets full of local character. Each island had its own unique personality and atmosphere, making every trip special.
On one of the islands, we had the pleasure of exploring local markets, where we could buy fresh seafood and handmade crafts, as well as enjoy local delicacies in small family-run restaurants overlooking the sea. In the evenings, we returned to the mainland, enchanted by the magical sunsets that painted the sky in shades of orange and pink, creating unforgettable memories.
It’s also important to remember to bring appropriate water shoes when swimming in Croatia. While you can find sandy beaches, many areas have rocky bottoms. Therefore, we recommend packing water shoes to protect your feet and make exploring the underwater world easier.
