Egypt – and its beautiful World

Hi!

As you probably know, I’m in love with traveling. I have visited several places recently, both big and small, in Europe, the Islands, and Africa, as well as local destinations that I simply adore. Traveling brings me joy, clears my mind, and allows for introspection, capturing the essence of my racing train of thoughts.

I believe the first such account will be about the magnificent Egypt, which turned out to be incredibly surprising in every aspect.

The question arises: Is it worth seeing Egypt? Definitely YES!! Mainly to witness the daily life of Egyptians, to learn about their culture, but above all, to change the opinion that „Egypt is unsafe.”

Egypt has two lives – that’s how I perceive it. There are beautiful resorts that offer a whole range of amenities, but there’s also a life that encourages reflection. If you venture into the side streets of the city, you will see the truth of life. Egypt teaches humility, teaches joy in life – if you open yourself to this place, you will understand that these are people full of love for one another. Being there, you forget about the „problems” of everyday life that worry you here. Life flows at its own pace there, and that is beautiful… everything has a different meaning. In Egypt, you will discover what no one can take away from you – you will discover the value of yourself and your life – that’s why YES, it’s worth seeing Egypt.

I have a short guide for you that will make it easier for you to enjoy this beautiful place.

We decided to visit two locations in Egypt, Hurghada and Luxor, and take a mini trip around the country. We organized the entire journey without the help of a travel agency. We rented a car at the airport – and here you need to be vigilant. You have to pay $1 per person for any assistance from an Egyptian, even for information. On the way to the first resort, we were accompanied by beautiful Christmas decorations, creating a fairy-tale Winter Wonderland in a warm climate.

Luxor

A truly fascinating city. The residents are even more welcoming and friendly towards tourists. Life in Luxor is quite modest, and you can see it in their everyday lives, but believe me, they really enjoy life. Luxor has captivated me in terms of life – how everything seems simple for these people completely changes one’s perspective. They don’t complicate things; instead, they make life easier in every possible way. They find joy in every ordinary moment. The way they move through the streets is a fast and safely chaotic experience – that’s how I would describe it. Unfortunately, one cannot describe and capture the life and behavior of these wonderful people; it must be seen to draw conclusions, and everyone will have completely different ones, which is fantastic.

Hurghada

It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Egypt. It is a place of beautiful resorts surrounded by desert. Here, people relax and soak up the sun.

Two resorts that I highly recommend are the TITANIC RESORT & AQUA PARK HURGHADA and Hurghada Long Beach Resort.

In both of these resorts, you will feel like true goddesses without a doubt – you can feel it.

There are plenty of amenities and beautiful areas to stroll around, spending an active day with your family or participating in organized activities such as yoga, Zumba, and games.

No matter which resort you choose, each one will provide you with a wonderful stay.

What are the must-visit attractions in Egypt?
Starting from Luxor, some must-see attractions include:

Temple of Luxor: Definitely a must-visit to witness the remarkable construction and intricate details preserved on the walls, columns, and statues. The temple offers a fascinating glimpse into ancient Egyptian history and culture.

Avenue of the Sphinxes: I recommend visiting this site in the evening when the lighting creates a beautiful ambiance. The rows of sphinxes create a grand pathway leading to the Luxor Temple, adding to the overall allure of the place.

  • Karmex Tempel Luxor, the Temple of the Gods. The best time is from 8 to 9 am when there are fewer tourists, and you can peacefully walk around and admire everything that interests you the most. In terms of photography, that’s also the best time as the lighting is beautiful, highlighting every detail of the magnificent structures that were created.
  • King of Valley – Valley of the Kings is also an interesting place in terms of history, especially if you are a fan – this place will meet your expectations, and the desert surrounding it completes the whole experience.
  • Balloon Flight – the cherry on top – an incredible experience, the entire preparation process, an amazing feeling when you lift off the ground, the view of the city waking up, and the most magnificent sight – the sunrise, something beautiful.
  • Hurghada „Sund City,” also known as the Sand Sculpture Museum, is located near Senzo Mall. The museum is divided into two parts: the mythological section and the Hollywood section. The first part features sand sculptures of mythological heroes and the most famous leaders from world history. Some of the sculptures are impressively large, towering up to three times the height of the people walking around them.
  • Diving – I believe that everyone should see the underwater world and experience the feeling of appreciation for its beauty and the importance of taking care of this underwater realm.
  • Moto Safari – If you enjoy fast riding, this attraction is definitely for you. Additionally, the plan for this activity includes a meeting with the residents of Bedouin Village and a camel ride.
  • Small center with various souvenirs – if you’re going to buy something, be careful because the vendors have a tendency to persuasively and unknowingly push you into purchasing items.

The most essential items you need to take with you are:

  • Activated charcoal – The Revenge of the Pharaoh catches up with everyone, sooner or later. It’s nothing more than a different bacterial flora, so our intestines suffer a bit for a few days. That’s why it’s worth taking activated charcoal and always having a bottle of water with you.
  • Painkillers – (I’m not a fan, but I brought them) For people who easily catch a cold or are less resistant to pain, it’s worth having some pain relief tablets. There’s a pharmacy in every resort, and there are mini clinics, but you have to remember that it’s twice as expensive.
  • International driver’s license – If you decide to rent a car, you need to obtain such a document. You can get it at the post office, and the cost is minimal. You only need a photo and your driver’s license.
  • Swimming shoes – Depending on the beach location, there may be a rocky bottom, but also for protection against a water snail sting, although the likelihood is small. I was lucky that the bottom was sandy.

In summary, Egypt is an incredible place. It is a country that has its own rules and is incredibly friendly and good to others. My experiences and reflections that I took with me – it’s a greater gratitude for the little and big things every day.
