Egypt

Of course! Here’s a warm entry about the beautiful Egypt and its golden sands in English:

As you may know, I absolutely love traveling. Recently, I’ve visited many places, both large and small, across Europe, the British Isles, Africa, and various local destinations that I hold dear. Traveling brings me joy, clears my mind, and allows for reflection, capturing the essence of my turbulent thoughts.

I’d like to invite you to a warm entry about the beautiful Egypt and its golden sands.

The question arises: Is it worth visiting Egypt? The answer is a definite YES! Primarily to witness the daily life of Egyptians, to understand their culture, and most importantly, to challenge the notion that „Egypt is dangerous.”

Egypt has two faces—this is how I see it. There are beautiful resorts offering a range of amenities, but there is also a way of life that invites reflection. If you venture into the side streets of the city, you’ll see the true face of life there. Egypt teaches humility and the joy of living—if you open yourself to this place, you’ll understand that its people are full of love for one another. Being there makes you forget the “problems” of everyday life that trouble you here. Life flows there at its own pace, and that’s what’s beautiful… everything takes on a different meaning. In Egypt, you will discover something that no one can take away from you—you will uncover the value of yourself and your life. That’s why YES, it is worth visiting Egypt

I have a brief guide to help you enjoy this beautiful place.

We decided to visit two destinations in Egypt: Hurghada and Luxor, and to take a mini tour around the country. We organized the entire trip on our own, without the help of a travel agency. We rented a car at the airport—and here, you need to be alert. For any assistance from an Egyptian, even for information, you need to pay $1 per person. On the way to our first resort, we were accompanied by beautiful holiday decorations, creating a fairy-tale winter landscape in the warm climate.

Luxor

A truly fascinating city. The locals are even more hospitable and friendly towards tourists. Life in Luxor is quite modest, as evident in their daily routines, but believe me, they truly enjoy life. Luxor charmed me with its way of living—how everything seems so simple for these people completely changes one’s perspective. They don’t complicate things; instead, they make life easier in every possible way. They find joy in every ordinary moment. The way they navigate the streets is a quick and safe chaos—that’s how I would describe it. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to describe and capture the life and behaviors of these wonderful people; you have to see it to draw your own conclusions, and each person will have a completely different one, which is fantastic.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Luxor is not just a city but also a gateway to ancient Egypt. With its magnificent temples and tombs, such as the Valley of the Kings and the Karnak Temple, the city offers an extraordinary journey through time. Walking through these historic sites, you can feel a part of the past, which is an unforgettable experience. At the same time, the local culture and the warmth of the residents create a unique atmosphere that enriches every visit.

Hurghada

It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Egypt. This place features beautiful resorts surrounded by desert. Here, people relax and enjoy the sun.

Two resorts I highly recommend are TITANIC RESORT & AQUA PARK HURGHADA and Hurghada Long Beach Resort.

In both of these resorts, you will undoubtedly feel like a true goddess—you can really feel it.

There are plenty of amenities and beautiful spots for walks, and you can spend an active day with your family or participate in organized activities such as yoga, Zumba, and various games.

No matter which resort you choose, each will provide you with a wonderful stay.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Hurghada is not just a paradise for sunbathers and those seeking relaxation. It’s also an excellent place for adventure seekers underwater. The region is renowned for its superb diving and snorkeling conditions, offering fantastic experiences exploring the underwater world. The coral reef and the variety of marine life make every trip to the reefs around Hurghada an unforgettable experience. For those eager to explore more, Hurghada also serves as a great base for excursions to nearby attractions, such as desert trips or visits to local markets.

Attractions You Must See in Egypt

Starting with Luxor, here are a few must-visit places:

Luxor Temple: It is definitely worth seeing to admire the extraordinary structures and intricately preserved details on the walls, columns, and statues. The temple offers a fascinating glimpse into ancient Egyptian history and culture.

Avenue of the Sphinxes: I recommend visiting this site in the evening when the lighting creates a beautiful atmosphere. The rows of sphinxes form a magnificent avenue leading to Luxor Temple, adding charm to the entire place.

  • Balloon Flight – The Cherry on Top

An incredible experience—the whole preparation process, the extraordinary feeling as you lift off the ground, the view of the awakening city, and the most magnificent sight: the sunrise. It was beautifully organized by our accommodation owner, though it’s possible to arrange it yourself. Given that we had a balloon flight scheduled the very next day, it was easier for us this way. I must add that waking up at 3 a.m. was quite a challenge, but the views and sunrise made it all worthwhile.

Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend it—the sunrise is breathtaking. Additionally, you can see the entire balloon preparation process up close. The basket is pleasantly warm, and the atmosphere is fantastic. To this day, watching the footage of that beautiful moment gives me chills and immense joy and emotion because it was truly something special.

  • Diving – I believe everyone should experience the underwater world and feel the awe of its beauty, as well as understand the importance of caring for this underwater realm.
  • Safari in Egypt is a fantastic attraction that provides a lot of thrills and excitement. It’s a true adventure, full of adrenaline and fun. Riding across the desert in buggy or quad vehicles is a fast and exhilarating experience—you need to stay alert to keep up with the ever-changing terrain.

Additionally, safari tours often include a stop at a traditional Bedouin village, where you can experience the authentic atmosphere of desert life. Meeting camels is another highlight, offering unforgettable moments. You can ride them, learn about their habits, and take memorable photos with them.

If you enjoy activities that let you fully experience nature—sand, wind, and sun—then a safari in Egypt is perfect for you. It’s a unique experience that provides immense joy and unforgettable moments amidst the spectacular desert landscapes. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine adventure and thrilling experiences!

  • If you plan to buy something, be cautious, as vendors tend to be persuasive and may try to pressure you into making a purchase.

The most important things to bring with you are:

Activated Charcoal – Pharaoh’s Revenge will catch up with everyone sooner or later. It’s essentially a different type of bacterial flora, so your intestines might suffer for a few days. Therefore, it’s worth bringing activated charcoal and always having a bottle of water with you.

Pain Relievers – (I’m not a fan, but I took them) For those who are prone to catching colds easily or are less tolerant of pain, it’s good to have pain relief tablets with you. There are pharmacies and mini-clinics in every resort, but keep in mind that costs there are twice as high.

International Driving Permit – If you decide to rent a car, you’ll need this document. You can obtain it at the post office, and the cost is minimal. You’ll need just a photo and your driving license.

Water Shoes – Depending on the beach location, the seabed might be rocky, but also for protection against water snail stings, although the likelihood is small. I was lucky that the seabed was sandy.

In summary, Egypt is an extraordinary place. It’s a country with its own unique rules, and it is incredibly friendly and welcoming. My experiences and reflections that I brought back with me include a greater appreciation for both the small and large things in life.

To truly understand Egyptians and their daily lives, you need to spend time with them and observe how their lives flow. It’s simple, as every day they strive to earn money, sell something, and support their families. I think such countries offer profound reflections for us.

See You !!
