Peppermint Detox Smoothie
If you’re looking for a recipe that not only refreshes but also supports detoxification, I have something special for you. Today on the blog, I’m presenting the Peppermint Detox Smoothie – a refreshing minty smoothie that not only tastes amazing but also helps cleanse your body from toxins.
Mint is an ingredient that not only aids digestion but also soothes the digestive system and refreshes the mind. Combined with lime, cucumber, and a few other ingredients, it creates a smoothie full of vitamins, minerals, and natural detoxifying properties. It’s the perfect way to start your day or boost your energy throughout the day.
Ingredients:
- 122 g unsweetened almond yogurt without additives
- 80 g water
- 1 frozen banana
- 30 g cauliflower chopped and frozen (optional)
- 40 g zucchini chopped and frozen
- 30 g spinach fresh (or sub 2-3 frozen spinach cubes)
- 10 grams whey protein powder unflavored
- 10 grams collagen protein unflavored
- fresh peppermint leaves or extract powder – without additives (start with less and add to taste)
- 2 ice cubes
Instructions:
Start by adding the yogurt and water to the bottom of the blender, and then add the rest of the ingredients on top.
If using whey protein, you will see the smoothie starting to “fluff up” after it’s fully blended. It makes the smoothie extra creamy and ice-cream like in texture. Blend until very smooth.
