Today’s star is Chicken Breast with Pepperoni and Tomato Sauce – a dish that brings together the juiciness of chicken, the boldness of pepperoni, and the rich, velvety taste of tomato sauce. It’s the perfect choice for a healthy, homemade meal that’s satisfying and absolutely delicious. Simple, aromatic, and ready in no time – give it a try and fall in love with this irresistible combo!
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts (free range)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 jar (ja użyłam domowej – ale możesz użyć twojej ulubionej )
- 1 opakowanie Pepperoni (bez dodatków- takie które lubisz)
- 1 medium tomato sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella (ja użyłam vegan)
- Fresh basil torn/chopped, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 180sopni celcjusza and move the rack to the middle position.
Season both sides of each piece of chicken with the garlic powder and salt & pepper.
Add the oliv oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, sear the chicken for 5 minutes/side.
Transfer the chicken to a 9×13 casserole dish. Pour in the pizza sauce and spoon it evenly over/around the chicken.
Sprinkle the mozzarella over each chicken breast.
Top the chicken breasts with the tomato slices and pepperoni.
Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes. If your chicken breasts are on the smaller side, try 15 minutes, and very large ones may need 25 minutes.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes prior to serving (this will ensure it’s juicy). The chicken’s temperature will continue rising a few degrees as it rests.
Sprinkle with fresh basil.
